Let's start from when things could have mattered... Could have.  
Bored and 12 years old with a dialup 14.4kbps modem, a lot happens in the years before this moment but this is the point when the internet went from jerking off out of curiosity to stoking egos....  I'll try to explain quickly.  I was introduced before this age when the internet consisted of looking up and dot com I could find on a box.  My parents (current stepdad and mother) had no interest in  this new packer bell (it's been so long I can't even remember the spelling) they bought which looking back seems it was a status symbol purchase as they were lower middle class and this was one of those hey, look at me , I'm doing well kind of things(what would I know at 10).  Chat rooms, ascii artwork, and not free porn spurts my interest and by 12 years old, after the first season of South Park was debuted I created my first website, the dead fetus South Park page, hosted by tripod.com under the screen name aliennations (I had never seen the classic film at this point).  Edit- view source was my teacher for coding html at this time which ctrl-c ctrl-v(copy and paste for our late millennials) made it efficient.  I collaborated character bios and sound clips from the tv show at this point because, well, video on the internet wasn't even an option at this point.  Shit, jpeg images (porn) took 5 minutes to load at resolutions our youth would consider inhumanity.  Fast forward at this point to my first copy and paste thievery.... live surf cams.  This was 12 years old, and this is when I learned to surf, and well, love it, and someone (he will remember me only because of this text) who I feel free to name, THE bob freeman (gosurfsportswear.com) put a cam on the cb Pier, which at the time boardheads2.com (a site that used to host photos of epic surf photos from all the good swells and no shit, a couple were even me dropping In as a chunky grom) hosted and maintained the cam... yea you Jim, miss your subs, the Italian especially!  This is the days of refreshing your browser to see the next cam image... well so, i took that shit, and with JavaScript I made it refresh itself.... almost like a live feed!  Haha.  I tought my friends how to set home pages on all the computer in the cocoa beach high school at this point to set the homepages to my site and next thing you know I've got 1000 hits a day (this was the one year we had before technology caught up and locked out privileges... more to come about that)! Let's end this segment of my story by apologizing to bob freeman and boardheads Jim (who I became good friends with after telling this story) because later in life as a professional web developer, I realized that the traffic I pulled to my copy and paste surf cam site (there is still a debate wether or not I stole the traffic or created my own) in 1999 ish times would have earned between what you make now and what you want to make now a month in advertising commission plus sales to gosurfsportswears.com (really shitty) but existent online store.  This is barely getting into the fun stuff, stick around for Surfline and how stupid they were, talk about wasting money....
